Serfis Construction and Engineering have created a relationship with Bulleys and we have carried out numerous projects as principal contractor for them.
Problems Faced / Solutions Offered
Common problems we face when we conduct work for Bulleys is that the sites are usually working business parks or similar. This means that the sites can be active during normal working hours and have traffic going through working areas. Our solution for this is to conduct work out of usual working times swifty to ensure there is no disruption to the business parks.
Summary
Old Park – Fire Escape Path: SCEL were tasked with the making safe of the existing fire escape path. The fire escape path was in poor condition and in the circumstances that it could be used, it could prove unsafe and cause a risk. SCEL excavated the original footpath and installed a new stone footpath. This footpath now functions as a proper escape route, if it ever should be required. Bulleys were happy with the result.
Ionic Park – Surface Defect: SCEL were given the project to repair defects in the surface of the tarmac and block pavers, the areas had sunk and were holding water. We undertook both repairs in a single night shift to minimise disruption to the business park. The desired result was achieved.
Hilton Cross Business Park – Surfacing: The business park had multiple potholes and trip hazards along the footpaths and roads. SCEL attended site to remove these hazards, this was done successfully. In addition to this, multiple illuminated bollards were removed, and the ground was reinstated to make it more aesthetically pleasing.
