Serfis Construction and Engineering were assigned as the principal contractor by The University of Birmingham.
Problems Faced / Solutions Offered
SCEL faced the problem of traffic and pedestrian management in the duration of the works. Due to the area being a heavy area of traffic from both pedestrians and traffic management, the road was closed for the short period of time. Chapter 8 barriers were put in place at the one side of the one-way road, a SCEL operative was then stood nearby to direct pedestrians and vehicles and advise them ways round this point.
Summary
The car park was completed in the allocated time and signed off by the UOB.
